LULEÅ. Julius Hunca Experience an eventful spring on and off the snow.
The 26-year-old hill is one of Lulia’s best players in the Swedish Championship qualifiers after criticism from Niklas Wiegaard and at the same time the new father of a newborn daughter.
– Niklas Wikegård obviously gave me more strength and energy, says Finn.
Niklas Wiekgaard was tough on Julius Hunka and called him a security risk at the start of the season.
Gradually, the well-known expert changed his mind on the broadcast of C More and expressed that Julius Honka is one of the best players in the final of the Swedish Championship.
“Obviously I remember it and everyone could have their say, but I tried to focus on my own game and what we’re doing in the locker room.” Needless to say, it gave me more strength and energy to become the best player I could be. I want to be happy and focus on playing ice hockey. Julius Hunca says all players go through worse and better periods.
The daughter gives him energy
On March 15, Julius Hunca and Melina Sofia gave birth to a daughter, who is the couple’s first child.
– We came home to Finland and had our baby girl who is now eight weeks old. It’s a great time with both the daughter and our family and this playoff. My daughter gives me a lot of energy on the plane. I try to take advantage of all these moments and make something special out of them, says Julius Hunca.
In the fifth final against Färjestad, his father and mother were present, a three-and-a-half hour drive from home in northern Finland.
– It’s not a long way for them to get here, it’s close. Julius Hunka says they will experience the amazing atmosphere of Swedish hockey and the crazy fans.
Champion of the match in two victories
Then the skilful right-hander scored his second decisive goal in the final of the Swedish Championship.
After the 2-1 goal in the first final, he now scored the 1-0 goal in the fifth final.
Both are nearly identical with driving on the far corner and the high end behind Dominik Furch.
Then it was Linus O’Mark who played forward and now it was Jonas Raske who gave him an open goal.
– I try to be active in skating on the far platform. That moment of play is something I’ve worked with, says Julius Honka, and it’s good that I was able to benefit from such a great workout.
‘Totally unreal’
The entire arena in Lulea shook as the seated crowd stood and jumped during the match.
– It’s totally unreal, it’s something I will remember all my life. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime lifting moment. We’ll take advantage of this and do it for each other, says Julius Hunca.
In the end, 4-0 means Lulia has 3-2 in the matches against Färjestad and two match balls to win the gold medal in Sweden.
First Monday evening in Karlstad and then perhaps Thursday evening in Norrbotten.
