The Swedish star knows who he would like to represent next season.
“All players play to win the Stanley Cup, including me,” Forsberg told NHL.com.
I have like Nashville Predators Throughout his NHL career he has been, for the past five years, one of the team’s assistant captains.
Until the summer goes Philip Forsberg Contract expired – he himself wants to stay in Music City to continue wearing the Nashville shirt next season.
– My goal is to get back here. I’ve been saying that since day one. But we’ll see what happens, says Philip Forsberg, referring to contract negotiations.

All players play to win the Stanley Cup, too. This is my biggest goal. I think we (Nashville) have a team that can succeed in the future.
New situation – freedom to negotiate
If Forsberg and Nashville do not agree on a new agreement, the 27-year-old is for the first time in his career a so-called “unrestricted free agent” and is therefore free to negotiate with other NHL teams. But if captain Roman Jozy decides, the Swede will stay in the Predators.
– He’s a big part of our team, a great player. I played with him for many years and we became really good friends. We all want him to stay, and I’ll tell him for sure, but we know in the end it’s a negotiation, Josie says.
The Nashville Predators were eliminated from the season playoffs after four consecutive losses to the Colorado Avalanche.
