Hugo Larsson, 17, made his Allsvenskan debut against AIK. After that, he was welcomed by sporting director Andreas Jorgson.
It’s a good example of success for us to use against other young players, says sporting director Andreas Jorgesson.
Hugo Larsson signed a contract with the first team Malmo FF In March 2022. Now he made his debut since the beginning. In the match against AIK, which Malmö FF lost 2-0, he played from the start in the midfield. After that, sporting director Andreas Jorgson hailed it as one of the very few joys of losing friends.
– It’s good to make his debut from the beginning. A great experience for the rest of your life. It is able to keep the quality and tension at a good level. Sporting director Andreas Jorgson says it’s a positive thing from a boring match.
“It was great”
How do you see his development in Malmö as well?
– It was wonderful. He took strides late, he was a mistake late, and he made big strides. From 16 to 17, then from under 17 to 19 years old. She is a very good character. He was patient the whole time and never rushed. Not in a hurry to move forward all the time. Since then, we have always known that there is a huge amount of talent in him.
Georgeson believes Larson is a role model for other young players who have not always been the best in their age group.
– Since he acquired his physical growth and development in terms of self-confidence, the disease quickly worsened. It’s a good example of success for us to use against other young players who think it’s slow and others are ahead of them.
– Then it’s good for us to be able to show what Hugo did. I just kept working and not stressing out. Then the results will come in the end as well.
Larsson is about to sign a new contract with Malmö FF.
