Last night, Färjestad took home the club’s 10th gold medal in the Championship of Sweden.
Goalkeeper Dominic Verch was one of the greatest golden champions.
But next season, the 32-year-old Czech can represent another team. He is on an expired contract.
When Sportbladet asks about the future at Färjestad, he directs the question first.

Dominic Virc started the season in Czech Plzen. He was recruited to Färjestad in October and since Henrik Haukeland left the club, Furch has been the goalkeeper’s choice without threat.
This role was taken by the 32-year-old Czech.
Fortch, like his FBK teammates, turned around in the playoffs and held three zeros, the third in yesterday’s seventh and decisive Sweden Championship final.
We’ve had a bit of a struggle during the season. But in the playoffs, the team was incredibly good.
“I do not know what happened”
Finds it difficult to find words. Perhaps it is the joy that affects him, perhaps it is his teammates who are behind the golden goalkeeper singing the classic golden rhyme of the Swedish championship.

On the way to Sweden’s Gold Championship, Färjestad first knocked out the third base series Skellefteå, then the series winner Rögle before defeating Luleå’s second over seven games in the final.
We were underdogs in every series of matches. It is unreal.
Last winter, Sportbladet revealed that Färjestad made an offer for Frölunda goalkeeper Matt Tomkins. The Canadian has yet to be introduced by the club, but according to Värmlands Volkblad, Tomkins is expected to net FBK next season.
