Daniel Ståhl wins discus competition at Sollentuna GP

Daniel Stahl was not allowed to win the Diamond League this year.

But at home in Sollentuna’s favorite arena, he showed shape again with 68.97 – despite the high winds.

— It’s one of my best competitions ever, says Ståhl.

The beginning of the season was not like this Daniel Stoll I got used to.

His shot was stable but without real tops and above all the resistance rose even more. Slovenian Christian Seh defeated Stahl three times in the Diamond League and most recently in Rome, Austrian Lukas Weisschinger was also high in the results list.

The latter had accompanied the company on the Olympic podium, Daniel Stahl and Simon Peterson to Sollentuna tonight.

And in an arena where Danielle Stahl has always led far, including his first Swedish record, the Olympic champion is back on the winning path once again.

“Message of Power”

He dominated the competition from the start and in a difficult tailwind sent the plate 67.40 in the second round, which was enough to make a clear lead. He advanced in fifth place with a score of 67.50 before crowning the competition with a score of 68.97 in the last round.

Not the longest competition of the year, but the best in terms of terms. Coach Vesteinn Hafsteinsson believes he is one of the best in his career in terms of terms and is backed by his skill.

– When I threw 66-67 metres, it was a fairly quiet throw. Vesteinn and I have now trained a lot to be able to clear the dust while maintaining the long haul. He says it’s one of my best competitions ever.

He welcomes the fact that he has been allowed to play in the Diamond League three times in a row and that the level has been alarmingly raised.

– It’s so much fun that Christian is throwing away and he is throwing (Mikolas) Alkana Junior and Lucas away. I’ve been in the seat before I won, won, won, but now I’m four and five years old in the world stats, but the point is to look for them now, says Ståhl.

But he doesn’t want to get into any favorite debate before the World Cup.
