Kristianstad won again – seventh in a row

The Victory Train continues at Kristianstad.

Today, Piteå lost 1-0, which means their seventh straight win.

-It was only three points that mattered, Mia Carlson tells Viaplay.

Together with Rosengård, Kristianstad has been Damallsvenskan’s strongest team recently. Today, KDFF welcomed Piteå – and the home team got the dream of opening.

Evelyn Vince gave Kristianstad a 1-0 lead after less than ten minutes of play. The 25-year-old Canadian scored the goal after being played on the far left by Mia Carlson.

Shortly before the end of the first half, the home team was on the verge of increasing the lead, but Mandy McGlynn brilliantly saved.

The second half was slow and did not contain many chances to score goals. After 81 minutes, Katrina Guillou sent a free kick into the penalty area. Guillou also had a good chance in injury time, but her shot went a bit beyond Kristianstad’s goal.

The host team was late and won 1-0.

– There are a lot of fighting and duels. I think we have half a game each. I’m disappointed we didn’t get any points. It would have seemed fair, Cecilia Edlund from Piteå tells Viaplay.

Disappointment in Petio, but much happier in Kristianstad.

“Very happy with the spring season”

In the first half, I think we had good control over them. The second half may not have been played well by either of us, but it was only about three points, says Mia Carlson before giving her perspective on the KDFF spring.

– In general, we should be very happy with the spring season.

With this result, Kristianstad remained third in the table, six points behind league leaders Rosengard. Piteå is in eighth place.

Now there is a break in the series, when the European Championships start in England in a few weeks.
