Euro 2022: Fran Kirby talks about his health problems: “Acquisition of an oxygen tent”

Fran Kirby, 28, has been named in the England squad for the European Championship despite not having played a match since February.

Now the Chelsea star is telling about her mysterious health problems.

– I have an oxygen tent in my house, she says.

In February, Chelsea striker Fran Kirby took an indefinite break from football to regain his health.

She hasn’t played any matches since, but she still holds a place in England’s squad for the European Championship at home, which begins on July 6.

Now the 28-year-old, who suffered from pericarditis in 2019 and was on the verge of ending his career, is now opening up about a tough spring.

‘extreme tiredness’

The tests did not give any direct answers that could indicate “you have this disease.” She says extreme tiredness and extreme fatigue, according to The Guardian.

– So there were a lot of potential things thrown back and forth. I’ve worked with different psychologists and different specialists regarding diet and recovery. I got an oxygen tent in my house and tried different things that could help me.

Kirby had a tough road to get to the top. When she was 14, she saw her mother die of a brain haemorrhage and suffered from depression.

“It’s important to listen to your body”

Kirby admits that there is no quick fix for overcoming tiredness and fatigue is “disturbing”.

– That’s something I’ve struggled with for five or six years. It’s not that anything special happened in February, it’s been going on for quite some time now. I’ve learned what causes this, when I’m starting to feel a certain way, and how to stop it. It is important to listen to your body. When you need to take a break, take a break and take advantage of it.
