The Stanley Cup was to be handed over to Colorado captain Gabriel Landskog.

“It was like finding a treasure,” neighbor Dmitry Rudenko told The Denver Channel.

Today, Landeskog raised the trophy again – topless with the Swedish flag around him – during a show at his Denver home.

But already on Monday, Landeskog was hanging out with “Lord Stanley” again when the coveted dent was delivered to the Swede’s home in Denver.
Although something went wrong on the way there.
The men who had the task of transporting the trophy to Landeskog first knocked on the door of neighbors Dmitry Rudenko and Kate Karpler instead.
“A man came to the door, greeted the dog, shook hands and acted as if he had come in right,” Kate Karpeler told the Denver Channel.

A home security camera captured the unexpected confrontation in the movie.
They opened the box and the afternoon sun shone on it. The whole room was lit up, says Dmitry Rudenko who was in the kitchen.
– I joked and asked: What is this? Stanley Cup? And I got two thumbs up in response!
Kit Karbler took the opportunity to take a photo of the trophy during the short visit, but he regretted one thing.
– I never thought of taking a selfie. This is something that only happens once in a lifetime and I took it One Picture… laughing.
Landeskog: “He has great neighbors”
Now they realize that they live next door to a famous Swede.
– Someone named Landeskog … says Karbler with a twinkle in his eye.
