Astrid Jacobsen talks about the horror after the act in Oslo

The shooting at a gay bar in Oslo sent shockwaves through Norway.

Former skateboarding star Astrid Jacobsen could have been a target for the shooter.

“It was only my innermost circle that knew”writes Jacobsen on Instagram.

Astrid Ohrenholdt Jacobsen35, put cross-country skis on the shelf two years ago, to become a doctor instead.

Overnight through Sunday, she chose to share several personal thoughts on Instagram.

“After days of shock and paralysis by the hatred and violence on the streets of Oslo, I confessed that I could have been the target of this absurdity. Because I love someone of the same sex”Jacobsen writes.

‘Opened new doors’

Jacobsen says she has never been joked or feared about her love for a woman, but she is proud and happy.

“But only my inner circle knew. I had no idea what I was, had no label and didn’t know if I needed it. I just know that loving someone so special has opened new doors for me.”

Jacobsen received a lot of support after his story. Others include former national team friends Therese Juhaug and Heidi Wing who responded to her Instagram posts.

“Today I feel weak and lonely because very few people know it. In the mirror I see someone who has failed himself first and foremost but also others who have experienced this unpredictable love. It will be a double grief. But I am not afraid. I just want to be open, free and love who I want”Jacobsen writes.
