Elvira Öberg about interest

Elvira Öberg’s successful season brought new challenges.

The biathlon star had to put his foot around all this attention.

– That but nothing more than what I felt then, says the 23-year-old.

Right at the World Cup premiere, Elvira Oberg terrified the global biathlon elite with her brutal riding style. After that, the 23-year-old only increased, took his first World Cup victory and then three more times, finished second in the World Cup as a whole and topped the season by winning three Olympic medals. Oberg says the star didn’t realize what she had achieved until shortly after the season:

It’s hard to fathom when you’re in the middle of it, it’s even more meditative when you sum it up so you understand how enormous everything you’ve done. Auberg says it’s pretty cool.

Note that there is more interest

the elder sister Hanna ObergShe, 26, has been famous and known for several years now, so Elvira saw firsthand how her sister handled all the attention that comes with success. Now that it was her turn, the biathlon star knew immediately where the max was going.

– Obviously, I notice that there is more interest. When we finished our first training period, we were at home and did a lot of things. There were sponsors and events and many family members wanted to meet one and the training was almost over. Then I felt this but no more. Then I felt what it could be like, and it was so nice to be able to play ball with Hanna.

“I try not to think about it”

It’s not just interest that is Oberg’s new challenge. This is the first time the biathlon star has entered pre-season and you know that her results from last summer have made her one of the best biathlon players in the world.

“Obviously it’s different, I try not to think about it but of course I know the level I got in last summer training and it was really very high,” says Oberg.

– It’s easy to get nervous and think that everything should be going well for me now so that I can also ride in the winter. But I’m trying to stay calm and I think things are going well so far.

Last summer Hanna didn’t always keep up with your pace, how’s it going this year?

– It’s better this year, I would say, it’s tight. We can really get to an incredibly high level in so many sessions so it’s an amazing asset to be able to train together.
