Former NASCAR star Bobby East was brutally murdered.
He was stabbed at a gas station and taken to hospital but his life was not saved.
The suspected perpetrator, Trent William Millsap, was later shot dead by police.
On Wednesday, former NASCAR star Bobby East was stabbed at a gas station in California, USA.
The Daily Mail wrote that East was stabbed in the chest while refueling the car. East was taken to the hospital but his life could not be saved.
The victim was found seriously stab in the chest. The police did everything in their power to save his life before an ambulance took him to hospital where he later died of his injuries,” the police wrote in a statement, according to the Daily Mail.

After the incident, police came out with the name and photo of the suspected perpetrator, 27-year-old Trent William Millsap, who was said to have been paroled and left homeless.
Millsap was also suspected of stabbing another person near the gas station, and two days after the incident, police were able to locate him in an apartment in Anaheim.
A home search was conducted there on Friday and in connection with the arrest, Trent William Millsap was shot dead by a police SWAT team.
Police dog injured
No police officers were injured in the incident, but a police dog was shot, but the dog should not have had any life-threatening injuries.
Bobby East was a superstar in the racing world and became the youngest-ever winner when he won the SAC National Midgets at just 16 years old.
He also won the SAC Silver Crown in 2004, 2012, and 2013. He also competed in 42 NASCAR national races between 2005 and 2008.
Bobby East is 37 years old.
