Hammarby visited the Championship team Millwall at London’s Classic Dunn for a practice match on Wednesday night.
A good opportunity for Hammarby to cut back on several new acquisitions in the team’s game, but the start of the match may have left many fans holding their breath.
bleeding from the head
The 22-year-old midfielder, who recently made his debut for the Sweden national team, shook his head alongside the home team’s Jake Cooper just a minute later.
The two were lying on the grass and the team’s medical staff rushed onto the field. Kurtulus was bleeding from his head, but was able to continue the match five minutes later after a moment of transmission.
Lots of explosions
It was a physical training match, and both Albert Demirol, who took care of the right shoulder, and captain Darijan Bojanic, who took care of the back of the head, temporarily left the field during the first half.
The match then?
Millwall started better but Hammarby played. Gustav Ludvigson had the best chance of a free kick in the first half, but goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski pulled out his left hand and saved it.
I decided the “Panenka Punishment”
Hammarby made six substitutions in the first half and substitute 19-year-old Youssef Orabi came very close to a 1-0 shot from close range in the 72nd minute – but this time Bialkowski’s right-hand fist got in the way.
A lack of purpose after the usual time means punishment.
There, Nahir Basara of Hammarby decided in the nicest way possible. The 31-year-old cut the ball into the middle of the goal in Panenka’s fashion and the win was a reality.
