Bakayoko received an apology after the incident, but in connection with the spread of the video, Amnesty accused, among other things, the Milan police of racism.

Now Bakaiko himself talked about the accident, in a video which was posted on Twitter on Thursday.

‘Putting our lives at risk’
Milan police were looking for people involved in the shooting. According to the police, Bakayoko, his friend and their car all matched the description of the suspects they were looking for.
– Suddenly I stood with a gun a meter away from me, and so did the passenger. They really put our lives at risk. The consequences could have been more serious if I hadn’t kept my cool, and if I hadn’t been recognized, Bakayoko says.
