The transfer window has opened and Sportbladet is doing a big boost ahead of Allsvenskan’s fall season.

Then it may happen that Pontus Wernbloom steps on a pair of sore toes.

“I totally made my career, so I thought I could go on to the side,” says Wernbloom.

On the field, he was a constant torment of his opponents. Regardless of whether they played in the Svenskan or whether they were Real Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16.

After her profession Pontus Wernblum He went from rubbing his hamstrings to having opinions about football on his ‘Ljugarbänken’ podcast and is now also ready as a Sportbladet expert.

Wernbloom has already started his first script today.

– I will write a little about Allsvenskan. Some paintings, some text and it has to come out a bit from time to time. You have to do something when you quit, says Wernbloom!

– You wrote a little for GP when you played at Blåvitt in 2008. Back then you had a blog, but you don’t have that anymore, do you? Does it exist yet?

“I think exactly what I want, I’ll never budge,” says Pontus Wernblum.

Dick Axelson completes

Pontus Wernblum admits he’s not just looking forward to debuting on the pink pages.

– I have a lot of anxiety when I wear things, but I always wear them and it’s usually fine in the end anyway. Let’s hope that’s the case this time too. That’s how I work. I put something on and think: “Damn, what did you do now?”.

Former hockey player Dick Axelson writes scripts for Sportbladet. How are you going to destroy it?

It’s not my goal. But of course, I swing a little too. We have our podcast where I think week by week and it’s not much different from writing it. Then you have to bring in your eye blink, too.

– Somewhere you have to maintain respect for players and leaders. Sometimes it can become a witch hunt and I’m not interested in that at all. You should have a high ceiling and respect, but it should still be fun. It’s what drives the whole sport and what drove my salary when I played.

I know that in many ways I don’t think it’s nonsense, but perhaps I express myself a little more intensely than many do. And of course I stand by what I say and write.

Pontus Wernblum ended his playing career last year. IFK Göteborg became his last title with the club.

“It’s really fun”

Although football’s retirement came a year ago, it’s still the same sport that occupies Wernbloom’s life.

– It’s a damned dream job to watch Allsvenskan matches. It’s important that I keep track of it and that’s what I often do. It takes a long time to delve into the teams, the matches, and all the damn rumors and crap that happens all the time. But it’s fun, very fun.

Do you have any advice for our readers?

– They are of course welcome to comment. You can think what you want and think exactly what I want, I will never budge. It would be fun to cross out a bit. Most people who listen to Ljugarbänken know the terms and it’s an attempt to catch a glimpse of their eyes anyway.

Then I might not always succeed and then I would step on someone’s toes. But it’s fun sometimes too, I have to be able to do it even when I’m not active. I made a career out of it, so I thought I might as well go on as well…
