Rio and Kate Ferdinand were expecting an addition to the family when the baby’s heart stopped beating.
Twelve weeks into their pregnancy, the couple is now forced to leave a sad message.

Previous Manchester United– center back Rio Ferdinand43, was expecting a new baby with his wife Kate Ferdinand.
But the couple could not share the happy news before changing it to something else.
“Destroyed”
Kate Ferdinand wrote on Instagram that the fetus’s heart stopped beating.
“We were very excited and planned to make room for our new baby in our family. We were excited to share the news with all of you, but unfortunately sometimes life does not go as planned”she writes.
Kate Ferdinand continues:
“I have so much to say but somehow I can’t find the words. I am so broken and heartbroken. But I couldn’t be more grateful for the hugs I got from my two older (older) children when we got home.”
Wife died of cancer
Rio Ferdinand has also previously been forced through a family tragedy.
He lost his first wife, Rebecca Ellison, who died of cancer in 2015. They had three children together.
As footballers, we often talk about missing out on important matches as if it were the end of the world. Believe me, it’s not if you compare it to what happens when your wife and mother of your children dies of cancer at the age of 34, Ferdinand said of his grief two years later.
