Peter Northough in an accident – he was hit by a car

Norwegian skateboarding legend Peter Northog recently crashed into a car during a training session.

– He stopped and was shocked. But I said it would be fine. Then he called me “Superman,” Northough tells NRK.

World Cup and Olympic Gold Medal Peter Northog, 36, was injured during a snowboarding session two weeks ago in Asker, Norway. Despite the collision, he was unhurt.

– I broke a sledge, came to a sudden stop, flew over a car and landed on the asphalt. But I have to put up with it,” the 36-year-old tells NRK.

The skate king also says he had to go straight to the emergency room after the accident.

– I think I had a little guardian angel at that time.

Call me ‘Superman’

Northog says he had to take the bus home after the accident. The driver must have been hit, according to the protagonist himself.

– He stopped and was shocked. But I said it would be fine. Then he called me “Superman,” says Northough.

Despite the incident, he stood on the starting line during the long run at Blinkfestivalen on Thursday. However, the Norwegian believes he has been training normally for the past eight or nine days, but without skates.

After just over four miles he rose to prominence but eventually had to see himself defeated by Swede Max Novak and Andrew Musgrave of Great Britain.
