A year has passed since the great Michael Ballack family tragedy.
Now, the football icon has put his grief into words.
“My beloved angel. I remember your laughter, your happiness, your happiness,” Ballack writes on Instagram about his son Emilio.
Michael Ballack is one of the greatest German footballers of all time. The 45-year-old won 14 titles during his professional career and played over a hundred matches for both Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
In addition, he was the captain of the Germany national team in which he played 98 caps.
The first word about the son
A year ago, the soccer icon was forced to try something no parent would want to try. His son Emilio, 18, died when he crashed his quad bike.
Michael Ballack chose not to talk about his great sadness, but in memory of the accident he posted a picture of his son on Instagram.
“My beloved angel. I remember your laughter, your happiness and your joy. I remember your light. With so much love and feelings, today I will pray that your soul rest in peace. I will also pray for your brothers”Palak writes and concludes:
“I place you close to my heart with all my love.”
Meet a friend of the son
Michael Ballack was previously married to Simon Ballack, Emilio’s mother. They also have two children, Louis, 20, and Jordi, 17.
Ballack divorced his wife in 2012 and in June Bild wrote that he had started dating Sophia Schneiderhan, 21, who was friends with Emilio and the two found each other grieving.
