Try the monster in Dahlin

SHL’s interest in Jonathan Dahlin, whose contract has expired, is huge.

Sportbladet can now reveal that both Luleå and Skellefteå have made huge bids for the 24-year-old.

It’s fun for Jonathan of course that many SHL teams flirt with, but the priority has always been the NHL 22/23 season, says Dahlén’s agent Claes Elefalk.

Somewhat surprisingly, the San Jose Sharks chose to release them Jonathan Dahlin in late spring. They traded the rights of the skilled striker and bet on him. Jonathan responded with 22 points in 61 games, and he’s perfectly fine on the bottom line in the National Hockey League.

But the sharks are changing my generation and the new management has chosen to invest in other players.

It means that Dahlin thinks about the future and knows the market.

His CAA agent, Claes Elefalk, says this about the current situation:

– So far, the right location and conditions have not been in place for matches in North America next season. Jonathan and we at CAA are in no hurry. We are waiting for developments in the NHL next month, as a lot will happen. Switzerland may also be relevant.

When will you make the decision?

There will be no decision until the end of August or the beginning of September. Now he is training at his home in Sundsvall.

Timrå is of course Jonathan Dahlin’s natural choice, if ever there was a game in the SHL. Timra has played in the top league twice and enjoys the club and his teammates. He has almost icon status at the club and many fans find it difficult to see Dahlén at another SHL club.

Now Sportbladet can reveal that Timrå has competition. At least in bids.

Luleå and Skellefteå have both made huge bids for the 24-year-old and the levels in the proposals are impressive.

It’s fun for Jonathan of course that so many SHL teams are wooing him, says Elvalk about the interest surrounding the skill.
