Oil supporter Ben Stelter, 6, dies of cancer – heartbroken by the entire NHL

After a long and hard battle with cancer, Ben Shelter, 6, is gone.

Now a young Edmonton Oilers fan is saddened by the team, club, and entire National Hockey League.

Mike Stelter, Ben’s father, wrote on Twitter: “Our hearts have a hole as big as you and life would never be the same without you.”

Befriend the captain Conor McDavidhe was allowed to go to the dressing room with his idols several times, participate in a press conference and even on ice.

During a long and arduous battle against glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, hockey was the favorite team Edmonton Oilers Interruptions in daily life between hospital visits and treatment.

Now Ben Stelter’s father, Mike, has announced that cancer has won the battle against the six-year-old.

McDavid posted photos of him and Ben on Instagram:

“You touched and inspired all of us. Happy to be your friend. Rest in peace, Benny!”

Father Mike Stelter writes in Emotional Twitter posts:

“Ben, you were the best son we could ever wish for and you were my best friend. […] You fought for a long time, bravely and overcame difficulties. […] My mom and I are very proud of you. You had a bigger heart than anyone we’ve met before. Our hearts now have a big hole like you and our lives wouldn’t be the same without you.

Ben Stelter is known, among other things, for the viral clips “Play La Bamba, Baby!” Which was published every time Oilers won. After the first clip went viral, the Oilers won 10 straight games with Ben Stelter in the stands.
