And now Häcken is starting to acquire an important weapon. They kept two clean sheets in a row.

Although Häcken conceded most goals of all teams in the top half, Hising’s side returned to the top of the league. He was beaten 25 times by Peter Abrahamson (20) and his former reserve Jonathan Rashid (5), almost twice as many times as Djurgarden, Hammarby, Malmö FF and Gothenburg.

And as a goalkeeper, do you want to keep your sheets clean?
– Yes, but I’d rather be where we are at the table than sitting with a bunch of zeros memorized. We score a lot of goals too. But it’s nice to be able to win 1-0 sometimes as well, and avoid losing 4-3 in every game.
Haken coach Per-Matthias Hugmo praised his team’s defensive play.
– That’s the tendency I saw. If we ignore the match against Elfsborg, which was very special, before that we only conceded a maximum of one goal per match. We can live with that, and grow from it. But we play offensive football with many players joining in. Their backs must learn to play a man against a man in the back, and learn to stand up to him. It’s a development process that we have to learn, but we’re getting really good now. One against one, two against two.
Peter Abrahamson agrees.
– exactly. And not to allow the ball to be lost in the wrong positions. We play with small margins, and then situations like this sometimes arise. It’s something we can take with us.
It will still be a poisonous weapon in the big fight, if you also keep clean sheets as well as score a lot of goals?
– Yes, although I do not know if that was the case … it only happened twice.
But two more than zero?
– Haha exactly. If we could polish it too, that would be great. Obviously it’s a good idea to lead the series. We’d rather be there than anywhere else.
