Eastern Sunday. Elvira Oberg found love.
The biathlon star reveals the happy news to Sportbladet and sends a small rod to older sister Hanna.
– I don’t work for the national team anyway, says the 23-year-old with a smile.
Elvira Öberg had a really big international success in the biathlon world last season. Already during the weekend premiere, the talent sparked fear among the most experienced elite riders with their extremely fast riding times. The form continued to hold and Elvira left the Beijing Olympics with three medals and managed to sum up the season in the World Cup with four victories and several podiums.
– It’s been a great season and now I know what capacity I have, says Elvira Oberg.
The national biathlon team is holding a press conference in Östersund where the ice skating biathlon will be decided this weekend. Wind, rain and 11 degrees advance in the shooting range.
– It’ll be interesting to see how it looks, it’s been a bit up and down lately, but I’ve had something else to focus on as well, so it might depend on that, says Oberg.
“I feel better”
Elvira Öberg is in the process of moving to a larger apartment in which some of the winnings have been invested, but the apartment isn’t just new to the 23-year-old’s life.
– I move into the apartment myself but am no longer single, Auberg reveals with a smile and quickly adds.
– I don’t work for the national team anyway, says Oberg and sends a little love to older sister Hannah.
But who is lucky, the shooting star wants to keep to himself for a while longer.
– It’s brand new, I’m happy and doing well, says Oberg.
When Hanna Obergwho was previously with biathlete Jesper Nehlen but has been with Martin Ponceloma for a little over a year now, has been told about the girl, laughs.
– I can imagine she said yes, but I can take that girl, says Oberg.
