Anne Catherine Berger was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in the fall of 2017.
She was declared healthy after four months and she returned to football.
At present, she belongs to the big English club Chelsea Football Club She was the first goalkeeper and was also in the European Championship squad for Germany this summer.
Now she is forced to postpone her career again.

In an Instagram post, the 31-year-old announced that the cancer had returned.
“I want the fans to hear this straight from me. After four years of being free of cancer, a recurring thyroid injury has been discovered. I have always said that as an outstanding athlete you have to fight every day to be the best. It is something I will continue to do and hope to contribute to. Ann Catherine Berger announced that she will begin her treatment this week.
“I am convinced that this treatment will be as effective as the previous treatment and I look forward to returning to football.”she writes.
