Ebba Anderson withdraws from competitions due to injury

Ebba Andersson is withdrawing from this weekend’s snowboarding race in Trollhättan.

The skater does not dare to take a risk after the summer setback.

– I had an accident at the gym, she says.

Ebba Anderson He has a toilet this winter as his big target and enjoys being with the national team on the snow in the ski tunnel in Torsby. But training this summer has not been without its problems.

A month ago she injured one of her knees at the gym.

– I drove an ordinary honorable classic leg kick. But the exercise wasn’t quite right for the knee. It had consequences, she told Sportbladet.

The 25-year-old suffered from problems with his right knee earlier in his career and was forced to undergo surgery in 2016.

This time it was the left knee that was affected.

– This was my second knee, which is why it came a little unexpectedly. Since I had surgery on my right knee, I had to take this into account and find strategies to keep the pregnancy at a reasonable level. The genes look the same on the right and left knee, but it’s a bit like my left knee, says Ebba Anderson.

She was able to do her training, but had to think about how to spend extra time in the gym. For a while I abstained from skiing and running.

– Man, you have always managed to maintain a level of training. She was able to increase the load and now the condition is fine, Ebba Anderson points out.

She wasn’t sure where to put it before she got to Torsby, but the trails in the ski tunnel exceeded expectations.

– Do not worry …

However, she will not, like large parts of the national team, compete in the Trollhättan Action Week in the coming days.

– I don’t want to risk anything about the figure skating competition.
