Färjestad won the tug of war with Luleå and found his long-awaited position in the AHL.

On Thursday, Norrbottens-Kurriren reported that Luleå had offered a contract to Remi Elie, but now the 27-year-old Canadian is ready for Färjestad instead.

Remi Elie played last season with Syracuse Crunch in the AHL. There he scored 17 goals and 12 assists in 48 matches. He also appeared in the NHL with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Remi Elie’s contract with Färjestad is valid for the upcoming season.
Eli has previously represented both the Dallas Stars and the Buffalo Sabers in the NHL. During the 2017/2018 season, he played 72 NHL games with the Dallas Stars and scored 14 points.
