Remi Elie is ready for Färjestad – in a fight with Luleå

The search for heroes is over.

Färjestad won the tug of war with Luleå and found his long-awaited position in the AHL.

– We’ve worked hard to fill our position, says sporting director Richard Wallen.

Gustav Rydal and Jacob de la Rose left Vargstad and the Swedish champions were looking for a replacement.

On Thursday, Norrbottens-Kurriren reported that Luleå had offered a contract to Remi Elie, but now the 27-year-old Canadian is ready for Färjestad instead.

– We have worked hard to fill our position and of course it is good that he comes to us now, he says Richard Wallen on the club’s website.

“the best player”

Remi Elie played last season with Syracuse Crunch in the AHL. There he scored 17 goals and 12 assists in 48 matches. He also appeared in the NHL with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Eli has many qualities that we lost when we left Gustav and Jacob. He’s a good combination of strength and skill and has NHL experience and has been a standout player in the AHL in recent years. We hope he can supplement our advanced crew in a good way, says Richard Wallen.

Advantages of the NHL

Remi Elie’s contract with Färjestad is valid for the upcoming season.

Eli has previously represented both the Dallas Stars and the Buffalo Sabers in the NHL. During the 2017/2018 season, he played 72 NHL games with the Dallas Stars and scored 14 points.

Remy Ellie, here in Buffalo, clashed with Yannick Weber of Nashville.
