There were double medals at the World Cup in Sweden on Friday.

The Biathlon World Cup is in full swing at the classic Ruhpolding, which usually makes you think of winter and biathlon.

Friday’s men’s sprint was a Swedish success.

silver and bronze

The gold medal was taken by the German Philip Horn, but in the second and third places there were Swedish medals after the sprint duel. Sebastian Samuelson took silver and Baby Fimming Bronze hit.

– It was inspiring. I said before the race that the only person I didn’t want to run against was Peppe. But I think I had very little energy left, so it ended up being good for me, Samuelsson tells the International Biathlon Federation website.

Peppe Femling was satisfied with his medal despite a losing duel against Samuelsson.

– The last lap was really tough, I shot really fast on the last shot and tried to save some energy when I was in front, but halfway on the last lap I was just driving. It was very difficult, especially in this heat, he says.

Oberg fell

On the women’s side, Len Pearson was Sweden’s best player in sixth place when Dorothea Ferrer won. Elvira Öberg faced a tough qualifying competition and missed the final when she fell inside the shooting range.
