Erling Haaland’s four goals against Bran in 2018 were a turning point.
But the star could not understand that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer included him in the starting line-up.
– I thought “what the hell is wrong with him?” , as he says in the Fiplay documentary “Haaland: Elections.”
Erling Haaland made a breakthrough in the Norwegian League on August 1, 2018. When he was just 17 years old, he scored all four goals in his seventh game from the start.
But the fact that he was only eleven years old was a mystery to him.
– I was really bad at training the previous week. When we did the passing exercises, I only managed to hit the ball. I dropped the ball every time I had it. Just ask Ole Gunnar, says Haaland in the documentary “Haaland: The Choice.”
– And suddenly, two days before the match he (Solskjaer) said, “Erling, I think this match suits you, so you should start. And then I thought ‘What the hell is wrong with him?'” Damn it, now I have to convert.”

However, the match was a turning point for Haaland, who was sold after the season to Red Bull Salzburg.
– It was as if everything turned around. Then I felt that even if I was completely poor at training, it turned out that way, says Haaland and snaps his fingers.
Haaland also says in the documentary that he is very careful about taking care of himself. Among other things, he is shown to eat locally produced meat (heart and liver in this case) and purify his own water.
– I think it is very beneficial for the body, which is why I do it, says Haaland and shows his filtration device.
