UEFA fined Paris Saint-Germain, Milan, Juventus, Inter and Roma

UEFA imposed fines on eight major European clubs.

Among other things, Paris Saint-Germain is forced to pay more than one hundred million crowns for breaching the rules of “financial fair play”.

UEFA announced during Friday that many clubs did not follow the Financial Fair Play rules.

No clubs from the Premier League and La Liga will be fined, but PSG are now being penalized for rules that will ensure clubs don’t spend more money than they bring in.

Paris Saint-Germain I had to pay a fine of 10 million euros – 107 million crowns – an amount that could also grow. If the club does not adhere to the rules in the next three years, Paris Saint-Germain may have to pay a fine of 65 million euros (about 700 million kroner).

‘Will be watching closely’

The Italian league quartet Milan, Inter, Juventus and Roma are also punished for violating the regulations. The same goes for Monaco, Olympique de Marseille, Besiktas, Anderlecht and all clubs, such as Paris Saint-Germain, pay higher fines if they do not come to terms with the financial problems.

“These clubs have been asked to provide more information about their finances and it will be closely monitored over the coming period. The goal, of course, is to have the clubs’ overall financial position within the framework of the club licensing regulations and UEFA financial sustainability rules in the coming years.”UEFA writes in a statement.
