Supporters accused of stealing Häcken . flag

It was an uncomfortable situation inside the arena when Helsingborg hosted BK Hacken last spring.

Now there is a man accused of stealing the flag of a traveling fan, Helsingborgs Dagblad reports.

– It surprised me that he is, says a source for the newspaper.

There were scenes of chaos inside and outside Olympia when Helsingborg hosted BK Hacken earlier this year.

According to a police investigation, it must have all started with a HIF fan stealing a BK Häcken flag during the first half, HD reports.

The man, who was already punished with a ban on access after the incident, is now charged with abusive actions and the prosecutor is proposing daily fines totaling SEK 2,000.

– It surprised me that it was him, he’s not that kind of supporter, says someone with insight into the environment around Al Haramain and its fans for HD.

It happened in Olympia

BK Häcken supporters responded to the theft by stealing the HIF flag and burning it inside the Olympia stands. Al-Diyar fans immediately responded and a number of them ran towards the visitors’ section in search of a confrontation.

The match was halted for a while before it calmed down in the stands and the HIF fans returned to their seats.

But the unrest did not stop there.

After the match, the buses of Haken fans were pelted with stones.

The man accused of stealing the Häcken flag denies the crime, but according to HD there must be surveillance photos where he was seen carrying the Häcken flag.
