Noah Elle from Mjällby received a red card – scolded his opponent

Noah El had to leave the field after scolding his opponent and picking up his second yellow.

Despite the expulsion, the points were shared between Degerfors and Melby.

It’s disappointing that we can’t decide with another man, says Alfie Whiteman.

Diggerforce Fighting is at the bottom of the table and in dire need of points. At home against Mjällby, the team earned a gold position.

Mjällby had to deal with one man less in the last half hour after a rather odd situation. Gu Jiao fell into the penalty area after a duel with Victor Gustafsson. The Mjällby players thought Degerfors was filming and referee Adam Ladeback never whistled.

Instead, he delivered a warning to Noah Eli after he was up front and scolded Giao. It was Eli’s second yellow in six minutes and he had to leave the match.

“Disappointment”

He opened up to Degerfors, who had many chances, but Samuel Brolin got in the way.

– In advance, it might be a game where we want to get three points. We’ve almost been into our first struggle all year and now we’re starting to slow down. But the way the match is going, we have to be satisfied at some point. An unnecessary red card and we have to fight with one man less, the goalkeeper tells Discovery.

Degerfors was not entirely satisfied at one point.

– We defended well, but it’s disappointing that we can’t decide with another guy. Guard Alfie Whiteman told Discovery we had chances, but we weren’t mentally enough.
