Now Niklas Backstrom has told himself there are no predictions for when he will return to the ice.
– I’ll start by saying I’m pain-free. I feel good. I’m in the gym, working out and doing my rehab. So far it has gone well. I’m very optimistic I’ll be playing before the end of the season, the 34-year-old tells nhl.com.
Bäckström has made points in the NHL in the past two seasons despite major thigh pain. He says the surgery has now changed everything.
It changed my daily life when it came to things like picking up socks, tying my shoes, and playing with my kids. I couldn’t do that either, Backstrom says.
“A long way”
Valbosen has not yet started ice skating after the operation and the next step is to get back on the ice.
