Ahead of the Singapore GP, the FIM World Council met and decided that Formula 1 racing would take on more prominence in 2023. The arrangement, where there is qualifying on Friday and a sprint race on Saturday that determines the starting order on Sunday, has been popular since it was introduced last year.
– I am very happy that there will be six Formula One races until 2023 and beyond, says Stefano Domenicali, CEO of F1.
– We will build on the format introduced at WC 2021. F1 racing delivers excitement over three days, with drivers vying for something from Friday to Sunday and adding more excitement to the F1 weekend.
Race F1- Sprints to 2023
The sprinters were very popular with the crowd and also among the organizers, because this year they also give points to the top eight drivers in Saturday’s race along with the WC points awarded on Sunday, and it was also attractive among the drivers.
The feedback from fans, stables, organizers and partners has been very positive and this coordination gives a new dimension to F1 and we want to ensure that this format is also successful in the future.
The tracks that will host F1 races in 2023 are not yet official. This year, there is only one weekend left, in Brazil in November. A quick weekend was arranged there too in 2021.
Red Bull are worried about F1 – Singapore GP 2022. It’s a track the team hasn’t won since the hybrid era but Max Verstappen can win the World Cup in Singapore. He then asks them to win this weekend’s race. If he gets the fastest lap, Charles Leclerc should be ninth or less, and Sergio Perez fifth or less. If Verstappen wins without the fastest lap, Leclerc must not be better than 10th and Perez must not be better than 5th in order to win the title. You can see what applies below.
