Rosengård is ready for the Champions League group stage.
Sophie Bridgaard scored a dream goal when she defeated Norway’s Brann 3-1.
– It’s absolutely meaningless, says expert Saja Fredrikson on the Sportbladet broadcast.
After 1-1 in Norway last week, it was a tie between Rosengard and Brann before returning in Malmö.
At stake was a place in the Champions League group stage, in other words, there was a lot at stake on Wednesday night.
The first half ended goalless, but in the 50th minute it was greatly reduced. Sophie Bridgaard broke through the right flank before firing a shot that sailed to the far post.
‘feel chills’
– It’s just crazy what a hit you get on that ball! There is such a delicious quality on that foot. You’re getting chills here, what a performance expert Saja Fredrikson says on Sportbladet broadcast.
Just a few minutes later, Rosengård extended the lead through Mimmi Larsson, after Ria Öling provided a delicious prep job.
– What a second half for Rosengård, says Saga Fredriksson.
With just over 20 minutes left to play, Mimi Larsson tricked Marthin Ostenstad before quietly scoring 3-0 for Rosengard.
Then the group stage is drawn
Bran then cut the score to 3-1 with a header from Maria Bruchmann, but there were no more goals.
Thus, Rosengård secured a place in the autumn Champions League and 5.5 million Swedish kronor. The group stage takes place on Monday.
