Wolfgang Bechler, 67, has been following William Buruma’s evolution through social media.
And the demonic coach isn’t always a fan.

Wolfgang Pichler He was previously a successful national biathlon captain and today the 67-year-old is a talent developer at SOK, the Swedish Olympic Committee.
For a while, until Nils van der Poel retired, he was also a mentor to skate talent.
And so he watches a little the hopes of young people for the future of our long-standing country. One of those who got under the watch of the Germans is 21-year-old William Buruma.
The cross country skier has never met Pichler, but he keeps in touch with him on social media.
Comment on a post
Last summer, the 21-year-old posted a post on Instagram when he and Marcus Greet were at work. Of course, that caught the attention of the former Demon Sensei.
“You don’t look strong,” he wrote.
When Sportbladet mentions Buruma with the comment, he bursts into laughter.
– He is strong but Wolfgang is fair, he says.
Have you ever mocked Pichler before?
– lol! Yes, I have several times. But he complimented me many times, too. Usually he posts a lot on Instagram. It is harsh but fair.
How is your relationship?
– I’ve never met Wolfgang. But Lars (Oberg, long-distance manager), he and Wolfgang are close friends so they talk to each other a lot. I’m sure we talked this way once. It’s funny.
Is it an Instagram relationship?
– Almost like that. We write on DM only.
