They earned a point against Anaheim yesterday – and followed it up with a deserved 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings last night.

But so far, in time for the second attempt, they seem to have developed an even greater effect

“It’s immediately noticeable here at the opening that we’re more united and we’re playing better together,” Alex Wennberg says by phone from Los Angeles.
– I think we also played well against Anaheim yesterday, but we let it slip a little bit in third. It was going in the same direction tonight, but you learn from your mistakes and we won thanks to a really solid effort.
Wenny gives big credit to the new deals of the season, eg compatriot Andrei Burakowski – who was responsible for last night’s assist – and Dane Oliver Björkstrand.
– What we missed last year were the real scorers and you can immediately see the difference they make when these players come in. We also have young rookie Mattie Penners, and what a player he is. Stockholm continues to have huge potential.
– Personally, I think it was very interesting to have received “Bora”. I know him from the junior national team and from other contexts and it’s great to have someone with his energy and happiness in the dressing room. I think he’s enjoying himself too, he’s settled down really well on set.
Alex scored a goal himself against the Kings – at the end of the strength match in the third half.
– I don’t know how it happened, it was a bit random that I got a disc between his legs. But that’s not in the stats, so I’ll take it. It’s good to break the zero right away.
He also scored a goal against Adan Larsson – in an empty net at the end.
