In Derby 08 away to AIK, Södertälje goalkeeper Fredrik Berggren got the chance right from the start for the first time this season. But it was the start of a nightmare for the 27-year-old. After just over five minutes, AIK led 2-0 and after the first half scored another goal.
– The first goal was a combination. You have to wear it every day of the week, but I left it on for a second and a half and got in. Then they score two quick goals which is far from agreeable, says the self-critical goalkeeper and continues:
– I deal with this completely.
How does a performance like that affect you in your first game of the season?
– It doesn’t matter if this is the first or the tenth game, if you have a bad game, you have to go back. Sometimes you have bad days and today was a really bad day for me.
Prior to the second period, Bergvik was not allowed to play any more. Coach Magnus Bugren sent in Nikita Tolobelo among the exhibitors.
– It’s totally understandable, if you’re 3-0 behind, you have to make a change, says Bergwijk.

– I understand his decision.
How do you move on from this?
– You just have to recover, you had bad days before.
For SSK, the goalkeeper change didn’t help much. Tolopelo also conceded three goals and the match ended 6-3 against AEK.
