Samuel Gustafson has a relaxed approach to following the golden contender.
– I would watch it if there was no better football match to watch, says the captain of Häcken.
With a nine-point lead, one point in either of the remaining two games or Djurgorden’s points loss to Jeff Sundvall is enough for Haken to win his first historic gold in SM.
During Sunday evening, there was some confusion on the scoreboard as to whether one could somehow see Djurgården-Sundsvall together on Monday night.
– I watch it at home. Veteran Eric Freiberg says we didn’t say anything about the meeting.
But if Djurgården loses points, will you two get together…?
– We’ll see then. I take it for granted! Frieberg says. Maybe you can call me and find out where I am if Djurgården loses some points…
“I don’t know if we should watch the game together”
The day after the matches, Häcken players usually get a day off. In addition, coach Per Mathias Högmo usually returns to Norway.
– We don’t know if we’ll watch the match together. We’ll talk about it. We’re trying to plan for many different scenarios, says sporting director Martin Ericsson, who comes with a direct message:

“I wouldn’t go up there to watch it, but I would probably be on the couch if there wasn’t a better football match to watch,” says the captain.

Of course it will taste nice. We have two games left so if that doesn’t happen we have to take new steps until the last game.
Eric Frieberg:
– I don’t think Djurgården will lose any points. If they do, that’s fine.
What makes you feel no rush for gold?
– It’s enough that we’re just fine. We are better than we have ever been. It is not more difficult. It crashed a few times after the summer when Häcken was on top, but now it’s in a completely different way.
– It’s complete. Jeremjev scored 22 goals there, this is necessary. Then there is the midfield which is the best I’ve seen in Allsvenskan. Eric Freiberg says: “We are better defensively and more stable in defence.
