What does it mean to you if captain Berglund can’t play?
– I think everyone knows that Emma Berglund is important to us. She is a leader in the back line but also everyone else on the court and in the dressing room. She really wants to play this match, but if she doesn’t, we have other players going forward, says Sligers.
Every time one person disappears, another person comes forward. We’ve seen it with Seger, for example, who has disappeared.
Caroline Seeger, Pia Sprung and Olivia Willen are already on the injury list.
A decision will be made on Emma Berglund either tonight or during the day tomorrow. If you don’t come to play, most things lean towards Mia Pearson to take over the captaincy.
Regardless of a team like Barcelona, we all have to help each other, raise our voices, direct and control things. I’ll take an extra big role, of course, but a lot of us have to come forward, says Olivia Shoof.
