In the stands, Sögaard had the support of his mother Carola, who, however, was not entirely satisfied with BP’s tactics in the last minutes.
– She’s not a football philosopher, so you probably shouldn’t agree. It’s a normal parental fuss, your parents thinking one thing and you yourself thinking another. But it is good to have friends and family there and to have support. He says they are the people you want to share this with.
The centre-back, who has played at the club for 15 years, has gone through many promotions and relegations in recent years, but he’s never played like he does now. The 24-year-old started all matches and had the second most playing time on the team.
– I had to get rid of injuries, but I also had to play center back again. I ended up in the big trap and was brought in at full back and then moved to the center of defence. I’m starting to wonder if that’s going to happen, or if I’m a linebacker now. But after 3-4 games this season, the coaches decided I had to be the center back and it went well. Amadeus Sögaard has a musical career outside the football field and writes for himself and others. He will continue even as he progresses to Allsvenskan, especially as the music makes him a better player.
– I already have a party tonight where the team will come and watch. Since I started writing music, my football has improved. I notice it very often. If football had gotten worse, that would have been a real warning sign, but football is getting better and I feel better, so it helps me as a footballer too. Music contributes to calmness and pleasant harmony and I can distribute the time exactly as I want.
Will there be a song about promotion?
– BP wanted me to write a marching song, but it hasn’t happened yet. I have to spend time on that now. Then maybe there could be some motivational money, too.
