Fanny Anderson had a tough end to the season.
But now the 27-year-old Petio has been nominated for the ‘Midfielder of the Year’ award.
– It was a surprise, says Anderson.
Prior to the match at home against BP on September 11, Fanny Anderson suffered a foot injury. The strike means that Betio’s midfield star has missed recent matches in the Women’s League.
It was sad that the season ended earlier than I would have liked, says the 27-year-old.
Could be Midfielder of the Year: ‘Very fun’
Despite this, Anderson could be chosen as the best midfielder in the ‘Opos’ Best Allsvenskan Women’s Shoes– Galan.
– It was a surprise and of course I was very flattered. There are many talented midfielders in the Women’s League, so it’s a great feeling. It’s always fun to be noticed, Anderson says, and I’m personally satisfied with my season.
Along with Andersson, Sofie Bredgaard (Rosengård) and Olga Ahtinen (Linköping) are nominated for the award.
– Fabulous! that’s nice to hear. But there was a lot going on this year, so it’s just a bonus to run. When I look back on this season, Bredgaard says, I’ll be very proud.
Fanny Anderson is satisfied with her achievements this year.
I think I’ve maintained a stable level throughout the season. Likewise the team. There were some highs, but hardly any lows. She says it feels good to have a high minimum.
She is expected to return at that time
How do you feel about running with Bredgaard and Ahtinen?
– They really stood out in this year’s series, so it’s great to share the nomination with them.
How is the rehabilitation process going?
The idea is that I will be 100 before the start of the preparatory season. That’s what I aspire to, to be able to have a good pre-season training so that I can be well prepared for next season.
