Henok Goitom becomes Andreas Brännström’s assistant at AIK

Andreas Bernström is the new coach of AIK.

Henoch Joytom will be his assistant.

He will stay with us all the way, Brennan tells The Football Channel.

On Tuesday morning, it became clear that Andreas Bernström would be the new head coach of AIK.

‘Brännan’ – who has led Milalbe to ninth this season – has signed a contract that runs until 2025.

Goitom stop

When AIK Bartosz Gerzelak was sent off in August, promoted as a club legend Henoch Joytom as a temporary coach.

A role he could only occupy for 60 days due to a lack of a proper coaching license and on October 18 Guytom became assistant coach when Peter Weinberg was appointed as the team’s head coach.

Gotitom has been open about his interest in staying at the club – and now he’s getting what he wants.

Andreas Bernström confirms to Fotbollkanalen that Henok Goitom will continue as assistant coach.

– Goitom is more than I’ve met him. We’ve talked through several things and will be sitting together more times in the future. Brännström tells the site that the hours flow easily when we sit down and talk to each other.

– We had a very good time with Henok in charge. We were able to rate him and assess his strengths. We know he will be attending UEFA Pro training next year and we need to tie everything up so he fits well, says AIK sporting director Henrik Jurelius.

Can bring a former colleague

Mesut Meral – with whom Brunstrom has worked on both Dalcord and Jönköping Sudra – is also a candidate for the coaching position. Miral recently comes from a training assignment at the BK Olympic, which plays in Division 1 South.

This was stated by “Bernan” to the football channel.

– This is a man who has worked with me in many different forms for many years. We hardly need to talk to each other, he still knows what to do and what to do. He says it would be very efficient with him that way, which is good if you want to start a process and push something forward.
