On Sunday at 17:00, the FIFA World Cup 2022 kicks off – and so does the famous Sportbladet competition in the FIFA ’11 World Cup.
More than 15,000 teams have already registered – including two from the leaders of Sweden’s largest parties.

– This team is clearly a heavyweight. This is without underestimating the importance of a tightly knit defense. By building attack on a solid defence, we will use the midfield as leverage to create opportunities to go forward. A strong team from the first outpost to the last.

Defense is an essential task, but that’s why it shouldn’t cost too much. Denmark impressed in the World Cup qualifiers and the defense ensured they kept clean sheets in eight of their ten matches. In total, they only conceded three goals! Schmeichel is a safe and affordable goalie choice.
The budget must be balanced. That is why the affordable Southampton player Salisu is eleven. He should be given a place to start and the Ghana defense seem to be making a reasonable run of the tournament. Four clean sheets in the last seven competitive matches.
– In the absence of Sweden’s participation in the tournament, we pin our hopes on our neighbors. As mentioned earlier, Denmark looks strong up front and the defense meets NATO standards. Mæhle is a big reason for that, while there is a good chance he will score too.
Denzel Dumfries. A popular choice in the 2022 World Cup for obvious reasons. A great defensive player who keeps up with offense at the same time. Great chances for points. He struggled a bit with injuries before the tournament but should play in the first match against Senegal.
Lisandro Martinez. The Manchester United player is a solid and affordable player who should earn a place in the Argentina starting XI, even if the competition is tough. If given the chance, there are good points chances.
A good team, like a good government, mixes experience with talent. This is why Camavinga, who has done so well at Real Madrid and who will now hopefully earn the confidence of national team captain Didier Deschamps, is in his place. However, the competition is tough.
– A real stable fighter is required in midfield in all teams. Rodrigo De Paul fulfills this requirement with flying colours. With an almost guaranteed place in Argentina’s starting line-up, selection is a foregone conclusion. Since this is his first toilet, he is guaranteed to be flushed.
Like I said, a good team balances talent and experience. Modric is still world class. In what is likely to be his last World Cup, he will give everything on the pitch to help Croatia move forward in the tournament. There are good chances for points and hopefully he can take penalties.
Ousmane Dembele. The Barcelona striker may be in Mbappe’s shadow, but given the price tag, this looks like an exciting choice. If everything goes Dembele’s way in this tournament, the four million price tag could turn out to be a real bargain.
He certainly shone a bit with his absence in goal in the club’s squad, but if Luis Enrique and his men get a good championship, there are good chances for Sarabia to help get the points. However, even here, there is a risk of a competitive situation, but a healthy project, half profit.
– Brazil are one of the early favorites for this tournament, but if they want to lift the trophy in the end, Neymar must be at his best. Judging by his efforts in the club team, there are all possibilities for a real championship. Most awarded place at the start and clear leader choice.

The defensive and midfield consists of four Belgian players. I think Belgium can go far in the World Cup but they are kind of softer in attack than other parts of the team. Therefore, I bet 8 million to buy Lionel Messi, who, I believe, will do everything possible to win a gold medal at the last World Cup.
– I love football and the World Cup should be a party, but the World Cup in Qatar was marked by scandals, for example migrant workers built football stadiums under slave-like conditions. The government in Qatar has dictatorial powers, women are discriminated against, homosexuality is outlawed, and freedom of the press is restricted.
Qatar should never have been allowed to host the World Cup, but I’ve had a hard time finding World Cup players who take a real stand against the organizers. The one who showed courage, but in a different context, is the Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun. He has taken big risks supporting the protesters in Iran. That’s why I chose him as the captain of my team.
