That was during Thursday Henrik Rydstrom Presented as Malmö FF: new boss. After a near-failure season, the now ex-Kalmar coach will get MFF to boot.
He applauded the selection of a new coach by the former MFF player and national team goalkeeper Robin Olsen.
– Terrible, terrible. It might be the best thing that could happen right now. I haven’t seen much of Kalmar, but from what I’ve seen and heard, he’s the perfect guy for the job.
– It’s a great move for Malmö to find this coach and build on that. Because this year and this season unfortunately has not been very good. Olsen says it feels good that they’ve got her in place now.
How has the follow-up to MFF been this season?
– He was disappointed. Emile, Boone, and I have a very hot squad, for better and for worse. It was very negative of us. But I know how much they want to reverse the negative trend, but it’s very difficult. Just forget about this season and let everyone enjoy the fact that things went badly for Malmö.
Who is the group’s biggest critic?
Bon, without a doubt Bon.
How is it at home?
– It’s especially cool. I came here and the first thing I did was walk into the locker room which is being remodeled. It’s great fun.
Are you so excited to go home?
– not yet. But I am eager to get home and he will come.
