But he has a lot to say in Frolunda anyway. Before the season, the club said no to NHL star Loui Eriksson, who was born in Gothenburg and educated in Frölunda. An unexpected decision, but they thought they had already formed the team and didn’t want to rebuild the group.
But on November 1, Lindqvist went to the media and said a few well-chosen words about Loui — and then things moved quickly.
– I have to be honest. Obviously, I wanted to see him on the team. I played with him, and I know what he can do. I can’t say more than that. I’ve been saying it since day one, Lundqvist told Göteborgs-Posten.
Nine days later, Frölunda signed the 37-year-old to a contract.

Anyway, I went to the Tegera Arena on Saturday night to see Loui come home and play his first game in 17 years in a Frölunda jersey. And he squeezed a little at the level of Lewis as a hockey player 22/23.

Frölunda won the game in the SHL restart against Leksand. Lowe participated in the triumph, but was not pushy. Instead, Frölunda’s defense was very strong in the evening. And Lacey Johansson in goal was top notch.
When judging Loui, you should know that he belongs to the second worst team in the NHL last season, Arizona, where the time in the offensive zone is minimal for the team’s forwards. Prior to that, he had an unknown role in Vancouver for two seasons. It’s been a while since Louie was a force to be reckoned with in the NHL.
What impresses about Lowe is his passion for ice hockey. He’s earned SEK 700 million over his career, played nine major international tournaments, won gold at the World Cup, scored 30 goals in a season in the NHL and doesn’t have to prove anything.
Not a piece of nonsense.
But he still manages to catch a bus to Dalarna late on a Saturday night in dark November and fight for Frolunda.
Impressive and we hockey fans thank you for that. In a short time, Swedish hockey has been enriched with Niklas Hjalmarsson to HV71, Loui to Frölunda, Linus Klasen to Djurgården.
Creates atmosphere in matches
Hockey needs stars, artists, and legends, preferably running backs.
They are the ones who attract the fans, who in turn create the atmosphere at the matches.
And without an audience and fans, the sport that Louis Ericsson loves more than anything else is dying.
