Elfsborg is close to signing Andre Baumann from Varberg

Elfsborg is close to signing a new player.

According to Sportbladet’s information, the club has agreed with Varberg a transfer fee for midfielder André Boman – and Borås are hoping to complete the deal for the player within the next few weeks.

At the beginning of the month, Sportbladet was able to reveal that Elfsborg is interested in Varberg midfielder Andre Baumann, 20.

Then the club made an offer, but where the parties did not agree at all. In addition, Norway’s Bodö/Glimt was in the picture around Baumann.

According to Sportbladet’s information, Elfsborg has now agreed a transfer fee with Varberg and what remains is to negotiate personal terms for the midfielder. This was confirmed by several sources to Sportbladet.

– I completely understand that Baumann is attractive both here at home and abroad. I am sure he is a player who has a good chance of becoming a national team player in the future with his speed and technique. It was his first real year in Allsvenskan and he will develop greatly in the future, Varberg coach Joachim Persson wrote in a short message to Sportbladet on November 2.

Thelin wants Boman as soon as possible

The midfielder recently extended his contract with the club and his current deal runs until December 31, 2026. However, if he agrees to personal terms with Elfsborg, which it all suggests, the club will hope to offer Bowman within the next week. Elfsborg coach Jimmy Thelin must be very keen to get the player into his squad build for 2023.
