Mario Kempe is an official Lulea player.
The club confirms this on Tuesday afternoon.

Mario Kempe has recovered from a knee injury and through the fall has been one of the best players available on the market.
On Monday evening, Expressen reported that Kramvorsonen had decided to sign Lulio.
And on Tuesday afternoon it became clear – Mario Kempe is a Lulea player.
– After a good dialogue, it’s great to move north again and become part of Luleå Hockey, which I understand has something good going on and that I’d love to be a part of. In addition, it will be fun to be part of a team again and start training and playing matches again, Kempe tells the club’s website.
– He’s a technical player and has really good skating. Which makes us think it will fit perfectly with our way of playing. In addition, he has plenty of experience from matches at the top international level, which is an added bonus the longer the season goes on, says Lulio’s sporting director Stefan “Skojan” Nilsson.
I played WC 2021
The 34-year-old forward – who has previously represented Rögle, Djurgården and Modo in the SHL – most recently comes from Dinamo Minsk in the KHL where he earned 17 points in 31 games in the 2021/22 season.
WC played for Tre Kronor late in 2021 and also played 70 NHL games for the Arizona Coyotes.
Before the season, Lulea lost both Linus Omark and Pontus Andreson and missed an offensive advantage during the fall. They are in eighth place in the SHL table after 20 games.
Mario Kempe will play at number 19.
