Boston achieved its 13th straight home win – out of 13

New York. It hasn’t happened since last spring, so no one in Boston remembers what it felt like when the Bruins lost at TD Garden.

They picked up their 13th straight home win last night – out of a possible thirteen.

“We notice that everyone is playing their best hockey against us, but we always make sure it’s about how we behave,” says scorer Taylor Hall after the 3-1 win over Tampa.

The Bruins already broke the NHL record for consecutive home wins to start a season against Carolina this weekend — and tonight they extended that impressive streak with a 3-1 victory over Tampa.

In short, they’ve only won at TD Garden since the season started in early October – and they win and they win.

“Tonight, there was some sense of being noticed,” said coach Jim Montgomery after the Lightning game.

Tampa played smart but we defended well and found a way to score some goals.

Above all, Taylor Hall found a way. He scored two of the three goals.

“It had been a while since I scored twice in the same match so I felt good,” says the former Hart Cup winner.

He also points out that opponents seem to have noticed that the Boston Bears have a very special season ahead of them.

– We notice that everyone is playing their best hockey game against us now, and we must not control games as lightly as before. But we always make sure it is about us and how we act..
