History seems to be repeating itself for Ghana.
Just like in the 2010 World Cup when Asamoah Gyan scored a penalty against Uruguay, with TV4 commentator Lasse Granqvist stating that “everything is bad for Ghana”, it was a missed penalty so far.
Andre Ayew had a chance from 11 metres, but it took several minutes before the 32-year-old was able to convert the penalty as the Uruguay was up front and tried to stomp on the spot kick.
Ghana players stood in a circle around her and tried to protect her, but Darwin Nunez managed to stretch his right foot and step on a penalty kick, for which he received a yellow card.
