Modu won his 12th in a row – he beat AEK in Hovet

Modo continues to rack up wins.

Helmer Steve, 18, scored his first goal in allsvenskan hockey when AIK was defeated 4-2.

– I’ve been waiting a long time, says Styf to C More.

Home powerhouse AIK faced league leader Modo on Sunday. It rocked back and forth several times – but in the end the Allsvenskan hockey table managed to win again.

After a scoreless first period, Modu was able to take the lead early in the second half. A few seconds after the end of the power play, Josef Engemann made it 1-0.

AIK’s response came a few minutes later, through Oskar Magnusson. But the joy will not last long in the home team.

First goal for an 18-year-old

With only three minutes left to play in the second half, Helmer Steve, son of Bar icon Timra, grabbed the puck and made the score 2-1 for the away team.

This was the first goal for 18-year-old Steve in Allsvenskan hockey.

– Of course it’s fun. I’ve been waiting for it for a long time, so it was nice to be able to put it out there,” he tells C More.

However, AIK coach Anton Blomqvist believes that the goal should not be approved.

– They get a goal due to completely incorrect offside. And then they gain some momentum. Blumqvist says:

There is nothing wrong with the referees today, but that offside is terrible.

Twelfth in a row

In the third period, AIK tied it up on the power play, when Oskar Nord was last on the puck. The hosts pressed for the lead, but it was Modu who showed evidence of competence.

The series leaders regained the lead through Jacob Norlin. Then, AIK had a pirate dancing at the goal line during the final minutes of the match, but the home team was unable to score the ball into the goal.

Modu won 4-2, after a last-second goal, meaning the Olswinskan hockey streak leader had a 12-win streak. The last loss came against Östersund (3-1) on 28 October.
