Örebro defeated Oskarshamn on Portet after two points from Robert Lino.
But the big winner of the match was Jonas Enroth who kept the second clean sheet of his career against Oskarshamn.
“It’s really settled by us,” says the 34-year-old after the win.
The decision came in the second half, with Örebro scoring 2-0 and 3-0 despite the home team amassing several qualifying chances. To the dismay of the Smålanders, Jhonas Enroth was the clean wall in Örebro’s vaults.
But his mate in the opposite cage, Joe Kanata, didn’t have such a fun day at work.
“I do not know what happened”
The American acted clumsily, to say the least, when he was about to remove a puck from Rasmus Rissanen’s stick. Linus Öberg thanked him for the invitation and playfully took the puck between Cannata’s legs. The scorer himself expressed his surprise at the goalkeeper’s actions.
– I was a little surprised. I don’t really know what happened, says Linus Öberg in C More.
On the other hand, Kanata cannot be blamed for the other two goals, as his teammates despaired of getting the puck out of their area, which the away team was not slow to exploit.
The score came to 2-0 after Oskarshamn got full, Elias Ekström crossed with a pass from Robert Leno.
First clean sheet of the season
Then the same Leino extended it to 3-0 straight away with just 25 seconds left in the second term. After that, Oskarshamn was unable to react and the Örebro brothers were able to take their third consecutive victory.
The shutout was Jonas Enroth’s first of the season and second against Oskarshamn.
– It’s really stable on our side. Oskarshamn is incredibly good at playing power, especially on small surfaces, so we knew we needed to put in a good effort, says the goalkeeper, who qualified for the national team, after the match.
For the home team, the result means they have now conceded 84 goals during this year’s season – the worst in the entire series.
