It doesn’t look like Niklas Ericsson will stay at Örebro.
Information to Sportbladet says Johan Hedberg, another ex from Lexing, is high on Örebro’s list of substitutes.

Who trains Orebro has been consistent during the fall. Sportbladet had previously stated that the club had not offered Niclas Eriksson an extension after seven seasons at the club, with him now in his fifth position as head coach.
This is despite the fact that Örebro topped the table for a while and is currently 6th in the SHL, despite some problems with injuries and new acquisitions (Petrus Palmu) who are not spared.
Instead, the sports department went out and tested the market for a new general manager. Stefan Niemann is the assistant coach, a name it has been speculated could take over, should Örebro not choose to offer Niklas Ericsson an extension.
Sportbladet previously told us that Johan Lundskog, who was expelled from Bern, was also on Orebro’s radar.
But another Johan is the more exciting option, according to Sportbladet Experience.
Five seasons in the NHL club
It’s about former great goalkeeper Johan Hedberg, 49, who has coached Allsvenskan Moura for the past three seasons. Prior to that, he was an assistant/goalkeeper coach at NHL club San Jose for five years. As a goalkeeper, he has twelve seasons in the best league in the world. Johan Hedberg received many kind words of wisdom during his time as coach at Mura.
Hedberg has not closed any doors to take the next step in his coaching career and will be open to both the SHL and abroad.
Mora’s contract expires after the season and Hedberg has told the club he wants to delay dialogue about the future until January.
